EVALUATION
For the website task I decided to create a rebranded version of the Golf Wang streetwear brand created by the American Musician Tyler, The Creator. I chose to use a forest green shade of green for the main colour of my webpage as I felt like it was a really warm and peaceful colour to use seeing as it isn't too bright and isn't too dark to which it makes the website look mellow. The main two font's I used for my webpage is Lexend (BOLD) and Caveat, I really like both of these fonts as they are complete opposites of each other which helps keep a good balance over the website.
The very first page on my website is the home page. I decided to do a still hero banner for mine as I wanted it to be of the logo I had created on a website called Looka. I made a separate logo on Adobe Photoshop which is shown in the very top left corner of the hero banner, I decided to create a separate logo as I felt as though it looked like a cool little stamp to see when you first click on the webpage.
When you scroll downwards you are greeted by an advertisement for Golf Wang's latest drop (the Winter 2022 drop) where I displayed a title or it and a sneak peak to a few of the products with the product's name and price captioned below each image. The background's for all of these images were a warm baby pink colour so I tried to match that shade of pink the best I could with the colour of the typography below each product image.
When you scroll down to the very bottom of the home page there is another advertisement for the collaboration that Golf Wang did with Converse that began back in 2017. I again tried to match the font's colour with the background colour of the products as well as having different fonts and font colours for the Golf Wang and Converse writing so that whoever is viewing the webpage can immediately notice that they are two different brands collaborating. Below each photograph of the converse I put a hyperlink that when you click takes you directly to the Golf collaboration page on the official Converse website.
For my the second page on my website I made a page where customers can access all of the products except I made three different subpages. The three different subpages are titled as 'Shirts', 'Tops' and 'Trousers'.
Each of these subpages has images of all the products on them with expand and collapse buttons that are little arrows. When you click on the little arrow it opens up a caption showing the name of the product and it's price; I used this effect to help keep all my subpages neater and more orderly.
Each of the subpages has a different pastel colour used for the font colour, the font colour of each title also carries on throughout each page with the product photo's captions being the same font and font colour
For the final page on my website I made an 'About Us' page for Golf Wang. At the top on the hero banner below the title I linked both Tyler, The Creator's official YouTube channel and Golf Wang's official Instagram page, to get to these pages all you have to do is click on the small YouTube and Instagram logo icons and it will take you directly to the pages.
When scrolling down the About Us page the background is a plain photo of a model wearing Golf Wang's clothing. I then wrote a five different paragraphs explaining what Golf Wang is and the history of the brand in the Caveat font in a light beige/yellow sort of colour that I felt stood out pretty well on the photograph background. On the left hand side of the paragraphs I did four different photographs from the Golf Wang release party as I loved how the photographs looked and thought it was a nice way to present the brand and what it's about. This specific part of the page looks much better in landscape rather than the portrait/square option given by Google Sites.
When you scroll below the About Us paragraphs there is a section about the two only Golf Wang retail stores, In this section I added the main location, the address and then another expand and collapse feature that shows the opening and closing hours for both of the stores. On the right hand side of each location there is a photograph from the inside of each of the stores which you can only find on the real Golf Wang website as the owner Tyler Okonma doesn't allowed people to take photos inside of all his stores.
At the bottom of the page I made two QR codes on a website called QR Code Monkey that allows you to make custom QR codes with whatever colours you want. I made both my QR codes with a gradient green colour and gradient red colour instead of just boring block colours. When you scan each of the QR codes they take you to different Golf Wang look book videos on Tyler, The Creator's YouTube channel which is captioned below them so that people know what they are scanning!
