STAR WARS GIF TASK

In Paul's lesson we used Adobe After Effects to create a hero banner for our new Google Sites. A hero banner is the heading of a website and the first thing people see when they go on your website, so it must be good. 
We got the star animation from After Affects and the Death Star PNG from ALO. Once we had finished editing our animation we downloaded our project and uploaded it onto our Google Site as the hero banner. Once we'd uploaded it we downloaded a PNG of the Star Wars logo and layered it onto the GIF on the hero banner to make it look more professional.

BRACKNELL AND WOKINGHAM WEBSITE

In this lesson we had to go outside the front of the college and take photographs of it on our phone. Then we came back inside and uploaded all the photos we took onto the computer. We then uploaded our favourite image that we took onto our Google Site where we were recreating our own version of the Bracknell and Wokingham College website. We set our favourite image as the hero banner and then layered it with a white or black Activate Learning logo we found on ALO; I chose white as it worked best with my background.

GRAPHIC DESIGN LOGO CREATING TASK

For this task we were told to come up with an idea for a media related company. We had to come up with the company name, logo and what the business they specialise in. We had to use two nouns and put them together to create the name, I came up with the name Corner 26 as my logo design is meant to look like a road sign so it'll work really well on the logo and my lucky number is 26! On my logo that is supposed to look like a road sign I chose the colour green, I used two different shades (bright green and dark green) as when brands are creating merchandise it's much cheaper to have less colours on your logo because the more colours of thread you want on your product the more money it costs. My company would mainly specialise in music videos, I feel like the most fitting music genre for my company (considering the name and logo) would probably be rap, hip hop and possibly pop. 


PHOTOSHOP LOGO CREATION

For this task we used Adobe After Effects to create text logos for anything of our choice, we could use a brand name, a band name or even our own name! I personally chose to base my logo off a singer called Hailee Steinfeld.

Back in summer of 2022 Hailee released a single called 'Coast' with Anderson Paak which gave off happy, summer, beach vibes so I wanted to fit this new aesthetic of her's into the logo. I decided to firstly use the font 'Abstract Groovy' which is commonly associated with the 70s hippie aesthetic and the 2019 VSCO girl aesthetic which I felt worked really well with the beach vibe. For the font colour I decided on a light purple/lilac sort of colour as it seemed bright and cheery and is a colour that many people would link with a nice summer sunset.
