BASIC OUTLINE IDEA FOR PROJECT

I have decided that I'm going to make a rebranded version of the Golf Wang website which is a fashion brand created by Tyler Okonma (better known as Tyler, The Creator). The brand specialises in selling clothes, shoes, jewellery, and more accessories and is well being known for it's warm colourful visual aesthetic. When I rebrand the Golf Wang logo I hope to try and change the aesthetic slightly. At the moment the brand focuses on its bright yellow and black bold writing branding, although I'm hoping to bring a bit more colour to my website. My colour scheme (especially for the fonts) will be pastel colours as I feel like this matches the colourful aesthetic of the clothes that Golf Wang sells.

For the hero banner I will be using the rebranded logo that I created for the company. For each item there will be a photo of the product, the product name and the price of it.

For my website I'd like to keep the iconic colourful aesthetic as I feel it works really well with the style of the clothes and accessories he sells. I will make different pages for different things just like on the actual website (such as for t-shirts, tops, trousers etc...)

My website falls under the promotional website category as it's promoting the official brand.

MINDMAP

DEVELOPING MY LOGO

I created my logo on a website that I found called 'Looka'. The website asks for your brand's name and slogan (if you have one) and then generates a logo for you while giving your different options during the process such as the colour scheme, fonts, icons and the whole aesthetic of your logo in general. Once the website has a general idea of what you're looking for they generate you hundreds of different logos to choose from! It also gives you the option to change the font, font colour, symbol colour, and background colour if you're not so keen on certain aspects of your logo.
For my logo I chose a dark blue/light navy background, a rainbow gradient for the logo boarder and an orange to yellow gradient for my text and symbol. I felt as if the multicoloured text, symbol and boarder really matched the bright and colourful aesthetic that I am trying to build into my website.

On Adobe Photoshop I also created another logo to go in the top left corner of my website's homepage. This different logo is supposed to look like a rough design made on a computer as that's the sort of aesthetic I'm trying to bring to my design (reason being why I have used some handwritten looking fonts on some elements of my webpage). I also made every letter of the name multicoloured in this logo to help it match the colourful theme I am going for.
