Over the past few decades graphic design has become a really popular career path with many people who are interested in getting into the creative industry starting with it as it's such an easy concept to learn. Over the years the colour theory has expanded lots by added lots of other block colour shades.
COLOUR THEORY
Colour theory is a large collection of different colours that all blend into each other (best known has hues). It's a big wheel colour scheme that has different lighter and darker shades of block colours. The three primary colours are red, blue and yellow. The six secondary colours are red, blue, yellow, orange, green and magenta. Finally, the many tertiary colours are red, blue, yellow, orange, green, magenta, violet, purple, turquoise, forest green, tan, burnt orange and so many more that are all included in colour theory.
TYPOGRAPHY
Typography is the appearance of different text and letters in different structures and styles to make it looks more aesthetically pleasing while still being legible. Every single brand on the planet has to keep with the same font to keep up the same consistency on their advertisements/movies/social media etc.
LAYOUT
The layout of a website is one of the most (if not the most) important element of a webpage. On the website the logo should always be in clear view (usually in the top left corner) although it can also be in the centre top in a large legible font as this is one of the first things that people will look at when they go onto a website. All the typography on your webpage should be in a clear font with a clear font colour that words with it's background so that people can actually read it.
AESTHETIC APPEAL
An aesthetic appeal is the enjoyment of how beautiful something is. Aesthetic appeal isn't just a media based thing; you can find villages, photographs with your friends, cars and pretty much anything aesthetic! On a website things that could be aesthetically appealing could be the colour scheme that you choose and the shade of block colours, as well as your logo, layout and typography - the typography in your website is a really important element as you don't want to choose a font that doesn't work at all with the aesthetic you're trying to build.
LOGO
The logo is a really important part of a website as it grabs people's attention, builds your brand's identity by separating you from your competition and makes a powerful first impression; as when somebody goes on a website the very first thing that that they usually look at it the brand's logo. Because of this reason your logo always needs to stand out and look unique and should match your aesthetic appeal (like mentioned in the paragraph above).
